Software Engineer 1
Software Engineering position in support of the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC) Program's System Simulation team. The successful candidate will support the development of new tools and processes in the GMD Modeling and Simulation organization, review process performance and process improvements for new verification methodologies, define and reviews requirements for Modeling and Simulation tool development, support peer reviews of tool development products and System
Level Simulation product and component level models, support the deployment of new tools and processes, support the definition of Modeling and Simulation requirements, and develop Modeling and Simulation tools and processes. Develop solutions to problems related to requirements. Participate in the development and documentation of Modeling and Simulation system architectures. Evaluate, analyze, and trace critical elements of the system architecture. Requires the ability to independently develop and execute one or more technical planning and control activities to ensure the Modeling and Simulation program management has program status and decision data in place. Support Modeling and Simulation integration and verification efforts through the production of test procedures and serves as a test conductor during verification activities. Requires frequent interaction and close coordination between Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Works under close supervision.
Requires travel to Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) in Colorado Spring, CO.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
