We are currently looking for a Software Engineer II/III for our San Diego Office who works on our products which include; Friends-Asking-Friends and Sphere. Our product development team works in an Agile Scrum environment using the latest Microsoft technologies (.NET and SQL) with teams between 5-15 members. As Software Engineer II/III your responsibilities include: • Complete all assigned tasks correctly and efficiently, ensuring assignments function according to specifications and are completed within the allotted time frame. • Provide assistance to other team members by being available to answer questions and perform code reviews. • Complete assigned tasks with minimal assistance, working independently to address all tasks. • Show initiative in improving Blackbaud’s coding standards and product lines by suggesting new ideas and methods to incorporate into our existing procedures. • Maintain good working relationships with other departments in order to ensure successful releases by working cooperatively in addressing all issues correctly and quickly. Required Experience:
Competencies Needed: • Minimal 2 years of experience in software development • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework, object-oriented programming, and relational databases. • Strong in programming languages , , JavaScript, and T-SQL • Working knowledge of web services SOAP/REST • Experience with C# or Java a plus but not required • Consistently adheres to Blackbaud’s coding standards. • Working knowledge of required product lines and software structure, including but not restricted to, DLL contents, database structure, and module interaction.
