Software Engineer IIITitle: Software Engineer III
Location: ON-Mississauga
Perform full life cycle software engineering for special test equipment (STE) software, including requirements management, design, development, documentation, formal qualification, and end user support and training.
STE software category is real time avionics data bus emulation for ARINC 664 AFDX with CANBUS and ARINC 429 experience helpful. Used in both open loop and closed loop automated testing environments and supporting both flight software and systems development and formal qualification testing.

Key Responsibilities:
· Perform full life cycle software engineering for special test equipment (STE) software, including requirements management, design, development, documentation, formal qualification, and end user support and training.
o STE software category is real time avionics data bus emulation for ARINC 664 AFDX with CANBUS and ARINC 429.
o Used in both open loop and closed loop automated testing environments and supporting both flight software and systems development and formal qualification testing.
· Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
· Ability to act as a team member, contribute to team efforts
· Good listening and negotiating skills.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing.
Basic Qualifications:
· BASc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
· Experience required in C , Object Oriented Design, STL.
Additional Qualifications:
· Experience in Real Time Operating System applications (ON-TIME specifically).
· Experience in PC platforms is highly desirable.
· Experience with AFDX data bus.
· Exposure to CANBUS data bus, and ARINC 429 data bus testing.
· Exposure to Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model based software process
· Knowledge of SQL and XML is highly desirable.
Successful candidate must meet security/export requirements to work on Canadian and US military programs.
