Specific Job Description Lockheed Martin seeks a Software Engineer Staff in Baltimore, MD to plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. Design, develop, document, test and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensure software standards are met. Responsible for research, design, development, and/or modification of enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Support planning of system and development deployment, ensure software compliance, complete testing, and document system enhancements. Provide technical direction and management in maintenance and development of Cognos and MicroStrategy reporting components of data warehouse. Maintain understanding of definitions, analyses and reporting outputs from development and implementation of new reporting requirements and provide estimates to support timelines and deliverables. Ensure testing and verification of new reporting processes. Plan and monitor scheduled milestones and deliverables.
