Business Title Software QA Engineer 3 Requisition No. 58843BR Category Tech - Quality Assurance Subsidiary PayPal Position Area US - California - San Jose Shift Day Primary Job Responsibilities Become a key member of PayPal's Finprod QA team. Plan, design, and execute testing for PayPals application and credit/debit subsystems. Create automation test suites using open source tools like Selenium,Sikuli and work on service level testing. Work closely with a cross-functional team including development engineers and project managers to execute testing, report, and track defects, following our aggressive incremental PDLC and Agile schedules. Participate in the design and development of test strategies per project. Develop and document test plans and procedures Execute, analyze, document test results, and work closely with the developers to isolate and reproduce defects. Participate in technical and code reviews Interact closely with cross-functional teams. Communicate status and issues on timely fashion. Work with vendors for performing User acceptance tests.
Job Requirements Ability to read and understand technical design specification documents. Ability to design test plans and execute test procedures for complex applications. Solid troubleshooting ability Good knowledge of QA methodology, including L&P, highly desirable Experience developing database applications is highly desirable. Experience implementing automated test harnesses desirable. Experience with data-driven, white box test automation & system-level testing preferable. Programming experience with C++/Java/scripting is preferable. Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Passion for QA. Have strong communication skills to work on igns or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production limitations and standards. Recommends revision of specifications when indicated. Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
