Responsibilities: Assist government customer with determining software application requirements and analyze feasibility of proposed system interfaces. Provide technical specifications and recommendations for system architecture and integration for a shared data environment. Design, test and implement software applications and system interfaces. Document and analyze software engineering life cycle processes, to include development, implementation, testing and defect mitigation. Using MS Visual Studio as a development environment, develop and modify web pages in using C# and to access data from MS SQL Server. Individual will utilize Data Binding to bind server controls for databases and will create DataGrid controls. Individual will capture versioning in Visual Source Safe. Works independently as part of an IT team. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requires strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the client, IT team, and senior military and staff personnel. Quick learner, team player, ability to conduct briefings on data collected during software engineering lifecycle processes and communicate requirements in system development meetings with IT and non IT staff members. Ability to work independently but closely with others in a diverse working environment (military, civilian and contractor).
Requirements and Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years (8 years preferred) experience performing software systems integration and development using in using C#, MS SQL Server 2005, MS Visual Studio. This position requires that the individual have a Security+ or equivalent certification.
Priority consideration will be given to candidates with a current Secret Clearance - ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance required.
Master's, Bachelors, or Associate Degree and IT related certifications are a plus.
