Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements (including education): Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Computer Science, or related scientific field and at least 3 years of job related experience or equivalent additional experience in lieu of technical degree. Position requires a DOD Secret clearance as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Job Description: : Perform software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) in a Unix or Redhat Linux environment. Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including analysis of requirements, design, and end-user documentation. Develop Software Test Descriptions (STDs) which include test case matrices and test case procedures based on requirements analysis. Develop software tools (to include Unix scripts, C and/or Java programs) to automate testing or aid in analysis of test results. Perform technical reviews of engineering documentation, including Software Requirements Specifications (SRSs), Software Design Documents (SWDDs), Developer Testing Documents (DTDs), and User Guides. Utilize static and dynamic methods during analysis of software. Follow defined software development process. Consult directly with Government customers responsible for the different phases of the software lifecycle. Use MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) for various reports and presentations. Perform work in a closed lab environment. Experience with any of the following a plus: Linux, Java, C++, DOORS, Artisan, Object-Oriented methodologies.
