In this position, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and deployment of Universal Test Software (UTS), a data collection application that controls test equipment for Passive Fiber Optical measurements. You will also support the implementation, maintenance, and deployment of Actives Test Station, a data collection application that controls test equipment for Active Fiber Optical measurements.
Teaming with TE Connectivity Engineers, we will look for you to provide UTS expertise and best-practices solutions to facilitate meeting project management and reporting requirements.
Requirement:
* Provide support and documentation to organizations within Systems as they roll out UTS * Maintain the instances of UTS including database, workflow and application changes as well as plan and execute upgrades as needed * Perform Data Analyst & SQL Server DB update as needed * Job scope is global Qualifications: * Knowledge, experience and expertise in a wide variety of technologies, which must include the following: Borland C++ /VC++ and Pascal, Visual Studio 2008/2010, C#.Net, , Classic ASP, , VBScript * Experience in applications related to test and measurement using GPIB and USB controlled instrumentation * Experience in working with devices having eeprom, creating and using DLL's, familiarity with regular expressions and the I2C protocol * Strong SQL, SQL Server & Data Analyst skills * Knowledge of Fiber Optic cables and connectors is desirable * Some experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality applications is preferred * Strong problem solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making. * Some experience in project management utilizing best practice disciplines desired * Excellent communication skills Education: * Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science * 4 to 7 years of experience and demonstrated knowledge
