Position: Software Development Engineer in Test II Product: SQL Server Location: Shanghai
The Microsoft SQL CRD team is looking for a talented SDET to join the SQL CRD Manageability team to build the management/migration tools for SQL Server and help us to realize our goal in providing a comprehensive yet easy-to-use solution for customer to migrate their existing DB/applications from other database platform or low-level SQL Server to the latest SQL Server platform.
As a SDET II in SQL CRD, your Primary Responsibilities include: provides critical feedback that improves specifications and technical designs, works across group to plan and cost features, writes effective test cases and use appropriate automation tools/strategies to do the automation testing, appropriately advocates for critical code fixes during triage, identify bug patterns and areas of dependency across different feature areas and comes out proposals in automation, mentors junior SDET or SDET interns etc
A successful candidate will have: Minimum of 4 years' experience in software development or testing; 3-4 years of C#/C++ or equivalent programming experience; Excellent skills in problem solving, coding and debugging; Demonstrated ability to act as technical leader in a small feature team; Good written & oral English communication skills Have passion about quality and software testing; experience on test automation, test tool creation, automation framework is a plus; Demonstrated experience in database profiling/turning or migration is a plus; BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
