L-3 STRATIS has an opening,contingent upon Contract Award, for aSoftware Quality Assurance Specialist & Applications Testersupporting the i2S team in the Washington DC Metro area.

· Develops and implements quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization.
· Develops and executes software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
· Establishes and maintains a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation.
· Conducts and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.

Mandatory -
· Experience with development environment software - Apache Ant; Maven;
· Experience with object or component oriented development - Apache Karaf; Groovy Script
· Experience operating system software - Red Hat Linux; Solaris (Sparc); VMWare; Windows
· Experience with program testing software - SoapUI; ITKO Lisa; JUnit; YourKit Java Profiler
· Experience working on an Agile Scrum Team
· Experience working with web services
· General knowledge of computer systems components, such as CPU, memory, hard drives and networks, to assist in the analysis process.
· Background in XML, HTML and JAVA Script used during the script debug effort.
· C/C programming experience - Ability to modify application code and write C/C code modules within the test tool.
· Ability to apply programming expertise to solve performance problems.
· Ability to work well both independently and within a team. Must take initiative and be a quick learner, as well as seek answers from test team members and other groups.
· Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written communications across varying management levels and across organizations.
· Willingness to learn current suite of performance test tools: Compuware, ITKO LISA.
· Ability to perform some system administration duties to the test configuration environment.

Desired -
· Experience designing, implementing and/or testing web services and/or n-tier web-based J2EE applications.
· Java programming experience.
· Previous experience conducting performance tests using Compuware QA Load or LoadRunner. System administration background.
· Understanding of data integration
· Experience with Pentaho
· Software development experience using Java
· Technical experience with Oracle
· Experience with messaging platforms
· Experience with Agile software development approaches

Clearance -Current TS/SCI with FSP.
Education -BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field.
