Key Summary:
This position is a key planning, architecting and technical leadership role on the Baxter Medical Products Commercial IT Team. Individual will be responsible for driving the direction of Baxter's Commercial Web and Mobility programs, including Digital Assets Management, Web Portals and Tablet/iPad enablement.
As a Commercial Web and Mobility SME, you'll be architecting Baxter Med Products GBU's next generation digitization, web and mobility solutions.
Key experiences and attributes:
- a Solution Architect, with a demonstrated track record collaborating across organizational boundaries and cross-functional teams to deliver results;
- Experience with architecting and delivering customer facing web/portal solutions required;
- 10+ years of systems experience including 3+ years of team leadership;
- Working knowledge in Java/JSP/J2EE or any other Dynamic Web Technologies, preferably J2EE required
- Working knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3 required Knowledge of Mobile centric application development, both Web and Platform specific, required
- Good knowledge in iOS and infrastructure related to iOS/Android required Knowledge of open source frameworks, both web and dynamic web technologies required (Example of web: jQuery/Sencha/EXTJS. Examples of dynamic web: Spring, Hibernate)
- System integration (both batch and real-time) knowledge a plus, preferably
- DataStage for batch, and REST,SOAP for real-time
- Experience with Mobility solutions development desirable

Detailed Review:
Design, implement and support advanced and diverse application solutions that address complex business requirements, following SDLC processes, application processes and quality validation (when appropriate) for large projects that are cross business/functional. Prepare and present project proposals for senior management in IT and the business.
Develop conceptual data requirements, technical feasibility/alternatives and determine operating requirements/cost from an applications perspective.
Provide technical leadership, mentor and train other application developers.
Evaluate and recommend products and systems solutions in key application areas across many teams or portfolios. Integrate applications into Baxter's existing technical environment. Identify, define and design user requirements and system requirements for complex systems.
Participate in planning sessions for large, complex projects for direction on testing and implementation plans.
Provide guidance and direction during critical, business-impacting production problems. Escalate and communicate to senior management in IT and the business. Work directly with the business or function to understand the business impact and quickly offer solutions.
Establish, maintain, develop and manage relationships with businesses or functions at a more senior level.
Lead the technical application architecture and system integration tasks. Participate in and conduct post-installation application reviews on large, complex projects and lessons learned sessions. Develop and communicate programming standards or processes.
Evaluate and recommend software alternatives from a technical perspective.
Work cooperatively with technical or application personnel across IT to accomplish enterprise-wide goals and resolve conflict. Identify and implement process improvements in the application architecture and/or infrastructure of the existing systems.
Participate in strategic planning that may be global in nature for IT and the business.
Participate with the more difficult vendors or challenging situations from a contract negotiation perspective.
Job Requirements

•Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field with systems experience preferred.
•10+ years of system experience, including 3+ years on large enterprise applications, in developing and/or supporting applications to solve business problems.
•3+ years of Solution Architecture and Development experience in the areas of Web applications and/or Portals required.
•1+ years of Solution Architecture and Development experience in Sharepoint and Datawarehouse/BI required
•Working knowledge in Java/JSP/J2EE or any other Dynamic Web Technologies, preferably J2EE required
•Working knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3 required Knowledge of Mobile centric application development, both Web and Platform specific, required
