Department Description Provide technical support and troubleshooting over the phone for end users of our Managed Service Customers. This includes but is not limited to supporting wireless network connections, installation of drives, basic PC troubleshooting.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations 2 years experience with workstation software installation. 2 years experience troubleshooting experience on various operating systems (OS X and XP/Vista required). Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Knowledgeable of all aspects of the PC including setup/maintenance, driver installation and configuration. Thorough knowledge of TCI/IP and Windows networking fundamentals. Ability to interact effectively with customers in troubleshooting problems over the phone. Ability to multitask effectively. Ability to quickly research and document troubleshooting steps. Ability to effectively communicate the solution to the customer. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Must be able to manage their time effectively. Specific Knowledge/Skills Fluency in English A+ or Network + certification required. BS Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science and/or at least 2 years career experience in system and/or network administration a plus.
