Blackbaud is seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to join its Operations team. Blackbaud is a public company (NASDAQ - BLKB), providing fundraising software, analytic, and hosting services to non-profit organizations around the globe. Our mission is to make the world a better place by working with the non-profit community to improve lives. The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for internal, client hosted, and client on-premise systems, providing database and application support for production and test/development/QA environments. Specific areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to: * Working in an on call rotation to provide 24 x 7 support for production systems * Building and administering database and application environments * Executing database backup and recovery operations, database patching and upgrades, and implementation of database security policies * Performing troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause analysis for database and application specific incidents * Executing database performance analysis and tuning * SSRS reports development, SSIS package development * Maintaining and enhancing database maintenance routines * Partnering with project technical leads and development teams to execute technical solutions in line with customer expectations and company strategic goals * Ensuring compliance with, maintaining, and enhancing standard practices and processes * Executing performance testing and benchmarking * Integrating SQL systems with third-party tools and environments * Documenting policies, processes, and procedures Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will have: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience * 3 – 5 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration on systems ranging from version 2000 through 2008R2 on both 32 bit and 64 bit clustered and standalone platforms * Expertise in backup and recovery processes, performance troubleshooting and tuning, clustering, replication, and SSRS reports/SSIS package development * Experience administering large, high-availability production systems * Experience working in a fast-paced, highly demanding technical environment * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Outstanding organization, time management, and interpersonal skills * Demonstrated ability to deliver projects of high complexity and risk * Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration a plus Keyword: SQL DBA From: Blackbaud
