Requisition # N1881554 Job Title SQL Database Administrator Post Date 8/27/2010 Division Qualcomm CDMA Technology Job Area Information Technology Location California - San Diego Job Function SQL Server DBA to monitor and support the day-to-day operations of several large, active production databases, some of which employ merge and/or transactional replication. They will also assist users in constructing TSQL queries, troubleshoot poorly performing databases, and perform deployments of schema changes and data migrations.
Skills/Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of SQL Server 2005/2008 DBA experience Experience dealing with large databases (tables with millions of rows and thousands of transactions per hour) Significant experience with both merge and transactional replication Good understanding of query execution plans and the use of SQL Server Profiler Good customer support skills Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language Self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Ability to effectively multi-task and cater to the needs of multiple projects and teams Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
