Indecon Solutions has a potentially long term opportunity for a SQL Server DBA in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Our client is a solid, stable corporation, with modern facilities in a picturesque location. This position is either an ongoing contract or a contract-to-hire opportunity, depending on mutual interest. This resource will tackle a number of on-going efforts that the DBA team is involved in right now, including modernizing SQL code, working alongside SQL developers. This position may write some SQL code, will perform database table design, port of existing design, etc. You must have some experience with Oracle. This role will work in an environment that is 80% SQL, 20% oracle.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain, enhance, and develop critical SQL Server 2005 / 2008R2, and Oracle databases.
Develop and execute an overall database architecture strategy, along with necessary data standards and practices. Execution includes but is not limited to SQL Server 2008R2 migration, implementation of HA architecture and creating common data interface layers.
Work closely with strategic project teams to develop data models that support business processes.
Work with application development teams to ensure that database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled. Ensure proper change management is followed.

5+ years experience working in an IT department as a multi-platform database professional (administrator, designer, developer, Architect)
Heavy "hands-on" programming experience with stored procedures, and Triggers
Experience with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, and DataStage
Experience implementing fundamentally sound databases using proper data modeling and normalization principles.
Experience in data replication using SQL Server, Data Mirror, and DoubleTake Share.
Knowledge of Oracle Applications and interfaces a plus.
