Under general direction, independently works with customers to establish business need and goals and elicits requirements for development of systems solutions for moderately to highly complex projects. Produces functional specifications and obtains customer approval. Acts as liaison between the customer and the development team to determine and deliver the most effective solution. Contributes to the design of systems and planning for systems testing and support. Possesses strong retail or data processing systems background or both. May serve in the MST Solutions Framework roles of Product Manager, Project Manager, Testing Advocate, or User Advocate.

a3 Product Manager
This position would include tactical product management responsibilities for working with internal teams, handling communications and collaboration, driving related projects and adhere to process and product quality standards defined.
Responsibilities:
-Gathering and managing customer requirements
-Managing customer expectation
-Leading the effort to establish shared visions and scope between the team and customer
-Fully understanding the customer's business needs and/or helping the customer define the business need
-Assist the customer with process mapping
-Ensure the project team fully understands the customer business expectations
-Ensure functional specifications respond to business needs
-Manages product specification and changes to functional specification
-Creates and maintains Business Rules and Scope
-Consultant to the development lead and testing
-Acts as customer advocate
--Negotiates sign off of Business Rules
Skills needed
- Candidates must have 5 years of work experience as a Product Manager within a software development organization.
- Must have good quantitative, oral and written communication, facilitation and client interface skills; Strong professional presence; Able to highlight issues/problems and convey complex thoughts in a clear, concise, timely manner; Handle complex issues and discrepancies of opinion by user groups to negotiate resolution and prioritize.
- Must have strong analytical, time-management, problem-solving and decision making abilities; proven ability to produce work with limited supervision; Ability to work in a fast moving environment with tolerance of ambiguity.
- Must demonstrate effective relationship building and interpersonal skills with business partners and team.
- Mentor the project team throughout the deliverable process
- Audit business deliverables from functional areas to ensure they support the end deliverables
- Mediate coordination issues encountered by development team members and testing support
- Conduct training or created training documents such as quick reference cards.
- Retail/Merchandising Systems experience is a plus
- Familiarity of Allocation process
- Knowledge of a3/JDA Arthur Allocation process
