Major Job Duties Include: *Application/Calibration of EGT (exhaust gas treatment systems for light duty/medium heavy duty applications) with focus on DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction). *Define system/function requirements and interface with base development team in Feuerbach, Germany. *Develop base data for application/calibration. *Keep documentation of calibration work/application hints. *Calibration work on engine dyno and vehicle. *Initiate/participate in program review meetings, FMEA, design reviews and other meetings requiring engineering support. *Provide launch support in engine/vehicle plant. *Assist customers in developing service procedures. This position will eventually be located in the Kentwood, MI area.
Minimum Job Requirements include: *Bachelor's of Science degree in a technical Engineering field *5 plus years experience in the automotive, commercial vehicle or defense industry in an engineering function. *Experience with exhaust gas after treatment systems *Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred: Mechanical Engineering degree Understanding of ECU functions, exhaust gas sensors and catalyst knowledge as well as OBD experience.
