Currently, a client of ours with offices in NYC, is looking to bring on a Business Analyst to join their product team. Brief Summary and Responsibilities To provide clients with a comprehensive range of skills to support the implementation of Collateral Management Systems, working in a small multi-skilled team. The Business Analyst will require strong technical skills and moderate business skills. Will need to interpret client*s business requirements and provide business and/or technical specifications for client customizations. Main Duties * Performing on-site and off-site implementations and upgrades * Managing small consulting projects from start to finish * Training new/existing clients on software * Interpreting client needs and writing business and technical specifications for business processes * Developing customizations in and C# (must be able to read code, not necessarily write code) * Solving client technical and environmental issues * Assisting in database performance optimization (from a requirements perspective) * Interpret client reporting needs and write specifications for Crystal Reports developer * Developing Crystal report templates / Business Objects reports * Testing new software releases to ensure initial requirements are met. Essential Requirements Education: * Educated to degree standard (bachelors) Experience: * Experience with Object Oriented programming, ideally and/or C# -- must have familiarity with full SDLC from a Microsoft perspective. * Knowledge of Database applications and concepts such as Oracle, SQL Server and SQL * Finance and/or Collateral Management industry knowledge * Ability to work with competing demands in small multi-discipline teams * Strong independent problem solving skills * Strong communication skills and Client facing skills * Ability to travel within US and Europe for site based work (generally short trips) * Crystal / Business Objects / SQL Server reporting skills Desirable Requirements: * Self motivated * Shows initiative * Able to plan and execute technical projects, knowledge of project lifecycle * Good presentation skills * Preferably fluent in one or more European language * Database tuning as part of implementations or dedicated performance projects * Keen to participate in client meetings Human Capital Management, Inc. is a staffing firm focused on the most important part of the Information Technology industry-PEOPLE.
