Sr. Business Analyst / Order to Cash

Sage has an immediate opening for a Sr. Business Analyst/Order to Cash to be a part of the Business Services Group of the North America Information Services Division at our campus in Lawrenceville, GA North of Atlanta.  You will support the business needs of the company by playing the role of a consultant for all technology needs.  You will promote standardization through process improvements, craft solutions by combining people, organizational and technological resources which support both the strategic direction of the company and functional area initiatives.

• Create business case documents supporting project initiatives including business requirements document, business cases, project functional scopes and specifications and "use cases" in accordance with established service levels and documentation standards.


• Continuously identify areas in functional business area (order entry or lead generation for example) where improvements can be made to streamline workflow and application flow resulting in measurable savings of time, effort and money.


• Understand industry best practices in functional business areas (sales order entry for example) in order to leverage business processes, driving improvements in work flow and applications.


• Develop and maintain working relationships with a diverse group of business people (supervisors, managers, directors, etc) in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the company's business processes to support the prioritization and delivery of demand.


• Communicate technical ideas in non-technical language to the business.


• Collaborate with department Management in support of the demand management process including Governance models.


• Collaborate with the I.S. Architects, Engineers and Application support groups to ensure business processes are supportive of enterprise architecture standards.

• Bachelor's degree is required.


• 6+ years experience in IT with experience in at least 2 of the following areas: business process analysis, project management, application design and implementation, functional design and business process re-engineering.


• Understanding of the Order-to-Cash process including Sales Order and Pricing in a tier 1 system (SAP preferable)


• Experience collaborating with senior managers and business leaders


• Experience with SAP CRM Sales and SAP SD R/3 or ECC preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to write, read and analyze business cases and requirements, functional and detail specifications, UML diagrams, Use Cases, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior managers, end users, architects, developers, and vendors.

Key Skills/Knowledge (Competencies) Required:

• Experience and exposure to best practices in Sales Order processing


• Experience in business case development when presented with requirements from customers or other Business Analysts.


• Experience in basic project management control techniques (project work plan, scope control, task dependencies, etc)


• Ability to demonstrate solid background creating business process and modeling documentation as well as UML modeling documentation.


• Ability to demonstrate background in facilitating meetings, customer requirements gathering and translation into appropriate documentation.
