* Manage and provide new capabilities and enhancements for a corporate data warehouse * Manage, support and enhance Business intelligence ETL/Report and database servers, and applications. * Manage, support and administer Business Intelligence environment. Identify and correct issues related to performance, reliability and scalability issues. o Performance tuning of SQL queries and ETL data flows o Optimize database and ETL resources to support transactional volumes and queries o Ensure operational stability and meeting service level agreements o Observe sound deployment and upgrade practices * Develop a scalable, hybrid data model that can support both OLAP and operational reports * Develop, facilitate use, and administer tools to support corporate use of meta data and data governance practices o Identify and resolve data quality issues o Capture business and technical definitions of data from operational systems inflow into the data mart * Have a deep understanding of technical database and development work, the impact of logical design decisions on the technical database and application infrastructures. * Work across all departments, and remote locations. Soft skills, flexibility, influencing and negotiation skills are imperative. * Oversee database system architecture and design, define and review system and application requirements. o Develop logical data model design based on application requirements. o Develop physical database design for OLTP, OLAP, DSS and data warehouse applications. * Implement maintenance, backup and recovery plans. * May serve as a *crisis* manager communicating the scope/impact of problems Specific Experience/Background Required: * 4 + years of Business Objects development experience using Crystal, Webintelligence, Voyager, Polestar, Xcelsius, Data Integrator * 5+ years of Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing experience. * Working knowledge of web-based technologies, AJAX, XML, ETL, development languages (Java, HTML), SQL, reporting tools, and CASE Tool Experience in at least one tool (Power Designer, Oracle D/2000, Rational Rose, ERWin) are a plus. * Must maintain a high degree of expertise in the use of the tools and methodologies of data analysis, particularly repository and data modeling. Solid experience with dimensional data modeling and business analysis * Be well-versed in SDM (agile especially) with an understanding of CMM, and has full-life cycle experience, capable defining/delivering multiple projects in parallel. * Strong analytical, diagnostic and creative problem solving skills. * 2+ years database experience with SQL Server stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages, web and database server management and security. Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS is a plus. * 2 + years in a technical architecture role. * Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. * Excellent communication skills. * Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science thanks ramesh
