Business Card Title / Posting Title Sr Channel Business Systems Analyst Job Summary Job Summary: The Senior Channel Business Systems Analysts work as part of a Channel Business Systems team that supports and enhances world-wide Channel business processes and systems. You will utilize your strong technical competencies and functional business expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures that meet business user requirements. To do this successfully you will work closely with cross-function teams to understand business needs, and IT development to provide automated solutions. An ability to understand business process issues and communicate technical solutions to the internal client is essential to your success in this role. Project management skills and a customer service orientation is key. Specific responsibilities: .Serve as a liaison between Superusers, End Users and Technical Team providing support for functional questions. Provide assistance with development questions and collaborate on any needed solutions. .Drive resolution of issues pertaining to the sales process, data interfaces to and from other systems, and other related functions of the sales applications. .Interact with the business teams to gather requirements and develop solutions. Operate as an expert to review business requirements, process designs, solution designs and implementation. .Participate in testing and release activities. Serve as a liaison between the superuser and the application for testing against defined requirements. .Create, review and maintain detailed functional and technical design documents for the sales processes in the functional areas supported. .Coordinate with other Business Systems Analysts in other functional areas as necessary. .Work with the development team to create scalable and sustainable design solutions. Essential Functions: Business Systems Analysts focus primary on individual business processes and systems throughout the Channel business function, however, they also may work with Sales, Finance, Marketing and other functional areas as well. Specific areas of responsibility of the Sr. Business Systems Analysts teams include: Business Functional Knowledge: -Collaborate with business users to define processes that meet business needs. -Ensure processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business need. -Design processes that can be implemented with minimal disruption to supporting systems, and that are cost effective. -Anticipate the needs of stakeholders affected by process change. -Ensure that proposed changes represent the best overall fit for the organization. Business Requirements Definition and Technical Team Coordination: -Develop and define IT requirements to support process and system changes. -Co-lead design sessions to identify gaps and opportunities. -Create detailed functional design documents for conversions, interfaces,and reports. -Coordinate with IT development teams to manage the development process and resolve issues. -Prepare and execute testing plans to ensure high quality results. Support and Technical Sustaining Operations: -Monitor implemented systems and processes to ensure high performance. -Manage support requests to ensure timely and thorough resolution of issues. -Engage with vendor service support groups to bring resolution to system performance or other processing issues. -Serve as a resource to superusers for education on technical system functionality. Project Management: -Develop implementation and project plans. -Monitor and drive resolution of issues. -Document and communicate status updates to team members and Management. -Estimate resource requirement and determine IT impacted groups. Job Requirements Requirements: Demonstrated experience in Channel process and systems (e.g PRM)is a must. .3+ years of CRM experience. .Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, estimate resource load, and proactively manage customer expectations. .Experience with backend order capabilities such as fulfillment, invoicing, etc. * a plus. .Outstanding oral and written communication skills a must .Must have the ability to interface and work with varying levels of the organization, from users to management, in a highly interactive culture. .Organization, creativity, flexibility and strong analytical skills. .Ability to manage and solve the issues on the phone, walk users through complex processes and through the application. .Must be a self starter, show initiative and the ability to manage workload prioritization. .Ability to work in team. .Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment. Education and Experience Education & Experience: -A minimum of 12 years of experience is required. -A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree required; Information Technology, or related technical field is preferred. -Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
