Your opportunity... Develops, implements, and administers compensation, benefits and labor compliance policies and programs for MarketTools locations, globally. This position interacts with varying levels of personnel requiring the ability to influence and clearly communicate verbally and in writing MarketTools’ Compensation policies and programs and the interpretation of them to employees and managers at all levels. Effectiveness in this role requires a functional knowledge of corporate operations and product line as well as a full understanding of Compensation, Benefits and general HR industry practices. The incumbent determines own practices and procedures and leads and/or contributes to the development of new concepts. Decisions are made within policy constraints; proposed solutions are expected to be both creative and practical. The incumbent will perform duties independently with minimal instruction given on new projects or assignments. Job encounters problems of diverse scope and high complexity. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; mistakes in work could cause significant data errors and financial loss. Responsibilities: Compensation Partner with the HR and management team to ensure employee and management understanding and effective participation in MT compensation practices, salary administration, incentive and equity programs. Conduct and participate in multi-state domestic and regionally based international salary surveys. Identify data needs and design and conduct independent surveys as needed. Analyze results of salary surveys to determine organization’s market relationship. Analyze competitive salary data to support pay decisions and recommendations and provide the organization with market compensation data for jobs in staffing processes. Analyze salary survey data and market trends and make recommendations to HR Business Partners and management regarding individual and organizational salary adjustments, merit budgets, structure adjustments and incentive and equity eligibility levels. Perform various scenario analysis and present to management as requested Assist the HR and management team to audit jobs contentand create and maintain job descriptions for all positions based on job responsibility questionnaires and personal pare job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements and completes evaluation of FLSA classification and maintain these job descriptions in our HRIS system Workday Evaluate positions to determine pay grade placement to ensure internal and external equity. Maintain the job / grade placement decisions over time in Workday and in off-line spreadsheet tools as needed. Lead the execution of salary administration procedures, authorization and process for semi-annual compensation management events such as Bonus Administration and Base Pay Review and ensure effective administration of standard and special compensation plans. Benefits Administer and communicate the company’s benefits program regarding plan options, policy features, renewals, lead open enrollment events, and administer FSA and other programs for both domestic and international programs As first point of contact following on-line resources for benefits questions in US and Canada, responsible to communicate benefits information to new hires and assist employees with day-to-day benefits inquiries. Responsible to communicate plan changes to benefits support vendors/personnel in UK and India. Manage and work with benefits vendors, brokers and plan carriers on status updates, issue reconciliation, and information sharing. Serve as primary business contact for leave of absence processing (including Disability and Worker’s compensation) Compliance and General HR Systems and Processes Participate in HR system configuration, maintenance and functionality enhancements for compensation and benefits information. Participates in development, process control and continuous improvement of HRIS system. Assist HR Management to review existing and proposed statutory requirements to ensure company compliance with country and state/province laws governing wage and benefits practices in the countries where MTI has employees; includes: Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices and wage and hour postings. Analyze benefits practices and policies in our employee plan and employment documents on a country by country basis for compliance – make recommendations for required changes. Insure accuracy and completeness in HRIS coding, data entry and process execution to insure our ability to comply with SOX, EEO and other regulatory requirements. Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related discipline, or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required. Professional certification (CCP) and experience designing and administering equity programs preferred. Experience Requires a minimum of 8 years relevant professional level experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in compensation. Demonstrated proficiency in the design and administration of base pay, incentive programs is required. Ability to perform surveys and effectively present options and recommendations to management is necessary. Thorough knowledge of compensation theory and practice and knowledge of state and federal compensation laws and regulations required. Strong experience with a number of HR systems is required. MarketTools uses Taleo for Staffing, Workday for HRIS and Bentrac for Benefits administration in the US. Experience in these systems is preferred but not required. Strong experience in productivity software including high proficiency in MS access database, excel (including vLook-up, programming formulas and creating pivot tables), word and presentation software such as PowerPoint is required.
