Sr. Data Architect Job Description:
Senior MDM Architect Job Details: Location: Duluth, GA Duration: 8 -12 months Objective: Client is looking for a talented Senior MDM Architect to lead design and development of Customer MDM using Teradata MDM and Trillium. The candidate will have expert knowledge of MDM and will have at least 3 MDM implementation experience in large and complex technology/manufacturing industry. The MDM Architect will facilitate requirements, design master data schema, and define data transformation rules, and load data into MDM. The role will provide input for the development of standards, guidelines, processes and expertise to consistently address recurring strategic enterprise master data issues such as data convergence, data standards and data synchronization.
Sr. Data Architect Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical aspects of the design and delivery of MDM solutions & related components
• Reviews existing logical and physical data environment to understand "as is" environment. Document customer data flow and develop MDM data models (conceptual, logical, and physical master data models) for the Customer domain.
• Design and conduct data profiling
• Design and build data integration/synchronization between current Enterprise Data Warehouse or source systems data and the MDM environment.
• Produces MDM code modules meeting technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs
• Address issues of master data definition, metadata acquisition and data migration including data profiling, validation, clean-up and remediation, and source to target mapping
• Define match, merge, unique identification, and golden record rules.
• Testing oversight (unit test, develops test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test plans, including component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance and technical architecture tests; execution of test scripts)
• Work with Enterprise Architect on developing MDM, standards, product roadmap, and architecture decisions
• Provide input to standards, guidelines, processes and expertise to consistently address recurring strategic enterprise master data issues such as data convergence, data standards and data integration/synchronization.
Requirements:
Sr. Data Architect Qualifications:
- Must have Lead MDM and data integration initiatives
- Worked as manager/director of MDM/ data architecture for Fortune 500 companies
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in : o Data Modeling & Data Administration Tools (e.g., Erwin, Rational Rose, Power Designer, Embarcadero, System Architect) o Data Quality toolsets (e.g., Informatica, Trillium)
- 5+ years experience with business process design for managing Master Data throughout the life cycle, including data quality, metadata and workflow technologies
- 5+ years of experience in data profiling and data analysis
- 5+ years of experience in data integration using tools like Informatica/BTEQ/MultiLoad/TPUMP
- Implementation experience on any one of the following technologies: IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Server (IBM MDMS, formerly WCC), Teradata MDM , Informatica MDM (formerly Siperian), SAP MDM 7.x, Oracle Product Hub, Oracle Customer Hub, TIBCO Collaborative Information Manager, D&B Purisma
- 8+ years SQL skills, experience with Teradata, DB2 or SQL Server.
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership qualities and ability to influence/communicate with C-Level executives Additional preferred but not required
- Teradata version 13 experience
- Teradata MDM experience
- Trillium profiling experience
