Duties: A back-end developer will focus on the scaling of our systems and the quality of Zite's recommendations. The quality of our recommendatiosn and the speed of our product are critical to the user experience. Building scalable back-end infrastructure to support Zite's recommendation engine. Recommendations are critical to Zite's success. Working with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to make sure the front-end reflects the kind of data the back-end needs to be successful. In order for our recommendations to be high quality, the front-end needs to collect the right kind of data for the back-end. Work with product managers to work on a schedule. Explore new algorithms for improving recommendations . Replace pieces of infrastructure with standard open-source infrastructure.
