. Place Cisco as a Trusted Business Advisor to Senior Business and IT Executives (CxOs) within target accounts of the Top 10 Global Retail Financial Services Firms. . Influence and collaborate with financial market industry to increase adoption of innovative technology driven strategies that can change the economics of the industry. . Provide internal guidance & support in structuring & deploying industry specific solutions to accelerate the adoption of Cisco's investments in emerging technologies in particular; this will include the sales organization, product development, and multiple internal constituents.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS AND RESPONSIBILITIES .Demonstrate thought leadership and deep vertical expertise in Retail Financial Services. .Establish reputation for unique and insightful point of view on the business transformation driven by technology - and impact on (and challenge to) current business models. .Define key industry trends and dynamics that are driving the need for major customer change. .Demonstrate and quantify how technology solutions can provide specific customers with. .Sustain competitive advantage or improve business outcomes. .Create demand for (not sell) end to end Cisco solutions in the industry as a means of successfully deploying these applications. .Assist account teams in developing executive level relationships (administration CXO members as well as key Business and IT representatives) within targeted Financial Services accounts to capture customer mind share and build broad and deep partnerships. .Achieve quarterly IBSG MBO's and influence increase in total contract value or net new incremental deal flow for Cisco within the target customers.
COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIES REQUIRED .An established base of CIO/Sales/BU relationships in at least one NYC retail financial services firm. .Technology strategist and 'in the trenches' credibility. .Tangible and positive results of having lead technology innovation within a leading firm. .Demonstrated ability to accelerate execution; taking innovative ideas to tangible proof points. .Collaborating within internal organizations, multiple constituents, and diverse agendas. .Taking risks, making alliances, and focusing on industry benefits. .Demonstrated track record of high performance in management consulting, possessing the best of consulting craft skills.
