Our client, a thriving company in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Sr. Field Applications Engineer in Milpitas, CA.

In this key role, you will...

Provide technical support for Ethernet Switch products to customers.
Interface with the design and development team on new product definitions and technology requirements.
Translate system architecture trends into product requirements.
Provide input for new product opportunities, development trends, and new technologies and markets.
Travel to customer locations in Southern California, Bay Area, and Pacific.

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. MSEE preferred.
Minimum 10 years experience as a Field Applications Engineer with Ethernet design/application background.
Must have a good understanding of both carrier and enterprise industry and applications.
Experience designing or working with optical module, carrier and enterprise accounts.
Must be comfortable using test equipment, i.e., scopes, power supplies, etc.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
Travel up to 25%.
