Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.

talls, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices.
lies technical knowledge of electronics principles in order to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems.
ubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
ifies circuitry to improve performance.
es recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems.
vides operation/maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
pares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation.
ists engineering staff in determining and solving equipment design problems.
perform quality assurance testing of assemblies and equipment fabricated by other technicians.
provide work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
ntains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
ticipates in special projects as required.

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

1-3 years of directly related experience supporting engineering operations.

Security Clearance; Secret required, Top Secret desired.

Duties include both CONUS and crisis area deployments when required. This position requires Hazardous Duty and Assignment to a Crisis Zone Agreement to be executed as a condition to employment. Must be able to meet Marine Corps Systems Command and Deployment Processing Center requirements for deploying. ****Could require up to 6 months min. of deployment overseas to the middle east.

Must be able to complete/meet Marine Corps Systems Command's Deployment Processing Center's deployment training and medical requirements.
