Business Card Title / Posting Title Sr. IT Business Consultant Job Summary Reporting to the Director-Field Ops IT Delivery, the Sales Systems Senior IT Business Consultant will be responsible for consulting, leading, defining and owning the systems strategy and end-to-end solutions to support the Sales organization (including Sales Compensation). This is a very senior IT leadership position responsible for leading and coordinating new and existing IT projects within the Sales Systems team, ensuring the applications are scalable, sustainable, and meet the business needs. Provide IT consulting to the business. Partner with the business in all phases of IT projects but especially during the Discovery and Concept phase. Play a key role in defining the future direction of systems supporting the Sales organizations, and ensuring all other applications within NetApp support the Sales needs. Job Requirements Responsibilities: .Consult with the business partner in all phases of their Sales and Sales Compensation system needs. .Partner with the business, play a lead role in the Discovery and Concept phase to advise strategy and approach, explore options, perform high level effort and cost analysis, feasibility and risk assessments. -Manage the roadmap for Sales Systems, working closely with business partners to understand future needs. .Act as the client relationship manager for the Sales business partner and is responsible for consulting with the business to understand its goals and objectives. .Responsible for defining the business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes. -Analyze and refine system requirements for all areas of the Sales process. .Provide consultancy in IT strategy and planning, workflow and process design, and product development. .Works closely with the project managers and business technology specialists in developing the appropriate solution to meet Sales needs. .Acts as lead to other business analysts and business consultants, in large, complex, and potentially enterprise-wide projects. .Work with the Field Ops Development Manager, ensure appropriate development resources are allocated to each project. .Work closely with our business partners to define the future direction of major enhancements to the application. Provide insight to application capabilities that may benefit the business and improve the usability of the application. .Work with other Business System Analysts to create design documents for scalable and sustainable systems. .Review design documents for accuracy and provide feedback to both Business Systems Analysts and our business partners. -Review test strategy and plan, support plan and resource assignment. .Act as IT project manager where appropriate .Work within the IT PMO process, to ensure all project deliverables are accurate and complete on time. Education and Experience -BA or BS Degree. -8+ years of IT experience. -5+ years managing projects. -Good understanding of the technology, directions and trends in the market/industry. .Must demonstrate leadership and hands-on role in a major SFA implementation (as a PM, business lead, or IT lead) -Siebel SFA experience a plus. -Must demonstrate hands-on knowledge in sales processes such as contact and lead management, opportunity management and sales methodology. -Work experience (e.g. leadership role in business) in Sales, Markeing, Sales Ops is a big plus -Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and direct large, diverse and cross functional teams. -Experience working with SaaS vendors ( or Oracle CRM On-Demand), managing expectations and defining future enhancement needs. -Understanding of the SDLC process. -Project budgeting, financial modeling and estimation a MUST. -Effective use of business assessment tools: Feasibility studies, Business cases and/or cost/benefit, Project sizing and costing, Current state analysis/needs assessments.
