Title: Sr. Java Developer- J2EE, Agile, Oracle, Spring, Hibernate, AJAX Skills: Agile, Oracle, Spring, Hibernate, AJAX Date: 8-22-2010 Description: Senior Java Developer Required Skills: * 7+ years of experience: o OO design and development o Hard-core Java development * Seven plus years as a hands-on technologist with a good mix of application development and database development. * 7+ years of experience with the following technologies: o Java (J2EE, Struts, tag library, Servlets, JSP) o XML o Web-based applications o SOAP o Ant o SQL o Oracle o Unix/Linux * 3+ years of experience with the following technologies: o Spring framework o Hibernate o AJAX * Agile software development practices * Excellent communication and writing skills * Product development methodologies * Experience using software development best practices * Must have excellent data analysis, design and development skills built on top of five plus years in data intensive applications. * Must have excellent analytical skills developed in the course of at least several years experience in working with business customers or product management to define requirements and system specifications. * Must have the people skills to be able to work well with a variety of constituents . * Must be willing to roll up sleeves to do the research necessary to define data and application requirements. A lot of the work will be in data analysis where requirements may need to be derived from available documentation, interviews with users, and file specifications/samples. * Must be familiar and stay current with industry best practices and trends related to data ingestion and database design/development. * Must have experience in a variety of data delivery methodologies and best practices (i.e., ingestion of large amounts of data) * Thinks and acts like a senior technologist who can be relied upon to operate independently and responsibly in a senior role. * Must be willing and able to support application/database development throughout the software lifecycle from requirements analysis and design through to implementation and maintenance.
