Overview:
Under general direction, independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to MST standards. Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which programs are written. Independently researches and resolves more complex technical problems. A top level technical contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of application system analysis and programming with strong business application knowledge. May serve as primary system support for two or more complex information systems based on in-depth system knowledge. May serve in the MST Solutions Framework roles of Development Lead, Project Manager, Testing Advocate, or Operations Advocate.

Skills Summary:
7 years of J2EE (1.3/1.4/J2SE 5.0 or above) development experience.
3 years of development experience of multi-threaded, client-server applications.
Experience working on relational databases (DB2, Oracle )
3 years of TIBCO Business Events, Business Works.
3 years of experience developing long lived, highly concurrent, multithreaded server side processes including JVM behavior, GC tuning, networking, and caching.
2 year of experience with Java persistence models, implementations, including SQL, JDBC, ORM solutions, Query Abstraction models as well as familiarity with different databases.
Experience with caching models, eviction policies and concurrency issues associated with synchronizing caches with a system of record across multiple processes desired but not required.
Experience working with different transport protocols such as RMI, SOAP, REST and clean payload interface design including Java Interfaces, WSDL and XML Schema.
Experience profiling server side applications to find hotspots for memory consumption and performance improvements.
Experience working in a production support organization, carrying a duty pager, managing bridge calls, and escalating issues is required
Required experience working in a with JMS, WebSphere Application Server
Familiarity with Java Specification Requests (JSR's).
Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience required
Tools/Environments:
DB2 experience is required . Stored Procedures is a plus. Oracle is a plus.
Spring framework experience highly desirable.
TIBCO EMS is desirable.
Solid foundation of HTML XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, SOAP is required
Unix shell scripting, SQL Loader experience is a plus.
Development tools including ANT, Eclipse and RAD required.
Experience with source management tools such as Subversion, CVS,Rational Clear Case required
Experience with WebSphere required. Other container experience such as Weblogic, JBOSS, Jetty, Resin, Tomcat is desirable but not required.
API Experience with JAAS, JNDI, JSSE, JMX, JTA, JMS highly desirable.
Web Services development experience required.
Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) concepts is a plus.
Comprehensive experience with and a very strong understanding of web technologies and / Internet Information Services Manager (IIS).
Strong negotiation, problem solving skills and ability to multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Identify major developmental or design risks and action plans.
Ability to interface with the client, management and diverse support teams.
Supports the technical specification development schedule.
Knowledgeable about development standards and processes.
Helps define the support process.
