Sr Learning SpecialistTitle: Sr Learning Specialist Location: United States-Iowa-Cedar Rapids, IA Other Locations: Sr. Learning Specialist (BW Position aligns to C4-Training Specialist Job profile) Summary of position Work with Change Management Lead, project team members and stakeholders to develop training plans and deliver training content on a variety of platforms. Work on product implementation, business alignments, projects, enhancements, ad-hoc or sustaining initiatives with a focus on delivering training that meets business goals, objectives and needs of the end-user.
Job responsibilities * Researches, evaluates and recommends delivery strategies, topics, techniques and tools to enhance the learning intervention * Leads others in the use of an Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology. Expands their knowledge and application of organizational development theories and concepts. Leads curriculum architecture initiatives by applying the ISD methodology. * Measure, demonstrate, and evaluate performance and effectiveness of training * Responsible for creating and documenting the overall solution design, including support materials, for all levels of learning and projects of varied scope and complexity. Manages effective transition between solution design and content build processes. * Effectively conducts and facilitates Instructor Led Training (ILT) classes * Serve as focal point and resource for training vehicles; prepares responses for questions on training plans, publications and training material * Complete assigned training deliverables on schedule and within budget * Communicate and escalate project issues in a timely fashion * Actively support Change Management and Project Management Processes * Promote and improve ability to clearly communicate status and workload impact to senior leadership and PMO * Develop effective working relationships with direct and indirect team members and leadership * Develops complex or moderately complex interactive courseware, end user enablement in a variety of delivery media including instructor led, computer-based, or web-based learning technologies. Develop instructional design materials that may include:
* Training Solution Design Documentation (Tasks, Objectives) * Upfront analysis activities (Audience Analysis, GAP Analysis) * Complex manuals, workbooks, audio/video tapes and discs * Procedural information (work instructions and simulations) for executing job tasks * Task-specific exercise(s) * Other materials to support training (job aids, process flows, etc.) Technically review and coordinate instructional design materials from other team members Skills & Attributes * Experience acting as a Project Manager or Training Technical Lead on implementation projects developing an end user training solution * Strong technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills * Interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization * Analytical and creative/resourceful problem solving skills * Ability to work independently or as part of a team Minimum Requirements * Experienced with various learning methodologies * Ability to create and technically review eLearning content using tools such as Adobe Captivate and Ancile uPerform * Experienced in Ancile uPerform, Adobe Captivate, WebEx Meeting Center or other documentation development accelerators * Instructional Design experience, degree or certifications * Prosci Certification * Experience working with SAP or Business Intelligence (BI) /Business Warehouse (BW) solutions Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and four years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, ten years of related experience.
