Job Description
Responsible for practical understanding of the required system(s) as well as providing technical support as needed. Assist lead technician(s) and engineer(s) as needed. Activities may include but are not limited to: building and setting up equipment, preparing and conducting experiments, collecting data, designing and drafting equipment, inspecting products, and hazardous waste management.
Hands ?on experience reading mechanical drawings required. Must be able to communicate with drafters and machine shop to integrate items on a military vehicle. Some automotive mechanical work required.
Qualifications
Candidate must have knowledge of basic machine shop practices and basic understanding of automotive mechanics. Candidate must also be able to read engineering designs.
Education: High School, Technical School, Apprentices
Relevant Experience: 5 years
Experience Substitute for Education: 10 years
