The proponent will have great communication skills and a drive to succeed in a Sr. .NET Development position, coupled proven expertise working within a similar role. Proven experience and skill in / WCF / C# and Biztalk is mandatory in order to be considered for this opportunity. Responsibilities: - Analysis and design of OO software solutions - Identify and scope out of work for web development - Participate in requirement reviews and provide detailed feedback regarding clarification or proposed changes - Develop, test, implement medium to complex applications - Perform application profiling and load testing - Contribute to the definition, maintenance and adherence to development guidelines/standards and processes - Provide support and maintenance of existing applications - Document business and technical needs, and to translate such needs into workable systems - Lead design and code walk-through sessions to ensure adherence to development standards - Make recommendations and/or develop proof of concept with regards to implementation of new/emerging technologies that will assist to increase the efficiency/effectiveness of development process. - Work as the lead application analyst/designer in various development projects. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of team Requirements: - MS .Net framework (2.0/3.0/3.5) - C# programming language, , MS Application Block, MS WCF - MS SQL Server - MS Biztalk development - MS Team Foundation Server experience - Web based and n-tier development experience using SOA, OOAD and Design Patterns - Knowledge and experience with J2EE development using WSAD a definite asset - Post secondary degree in computer science or related discipline - Firm grasp of OO analysis and design in a n-tiered application development environment as well as hands on experience with implementation of an OO project - 4+ years of experience in OOAD development and UML - 3+ years Asp .Net and C# development experience preferably with .Net 3.0 and later framework - 1+ years development experience with Windows Workflow (WF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) - 1+ years development experience with MS Biztalk platform. - 3+ years hands-on Web based development experience and SQL Server database - 2+ years experience with design patterns, Microsoft Application Blocks and SOA - 2+ years experience with identifying development WBS using MS Project. - Sound knowledge of one or more of the following platforms: Windows NT/2K or Unix. - Experience with J2EE an asset - Experience with application load testing and profiling a definite asset - Demonstrated ability to plan and lead a small/medium sized development project an asset - Ability to work independently with minimal guidelines and supervision - Effective analytical and problem solving skills required. - Excellent oral and written communication required - Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure a definite asset. - Proven ability to deliver in a fast paced, complex technical environment - Work experience within a financial services or finance industry a definite asset.
