As a Senior level individual contributor this position will have Multiple areas of responsibility. You will be part of a team responsible for multiple network technologies, Project implementation, Network Maintenance, Support, Trouble Resolution, Root Cause Analysis and SLA maintenance for a large, global Internet and Advanced services environment. In addition to daily Change Management, SLA compliance and routine break-fix duties, this position will develop and manage various projects to enhance & expand the network, detailed design, project planning, implementation, detailed documentation and cross-training of peers. The selected individual must demonstrate excellent customer service & team building skills and will be required to routinely interact directly with customers, to serve as a technical mentor within the team, and to participate in & foster a team environment. This position will frequently be called upon to diagnose difficult network performance problems and interact with application support teams to diagnose Internet / network performance issues. This position operates in a 7x24x365 SLA driven environment, requiring flexible work hours.
* IT Firewall experience - (Checkpoint, CISCO ASA, FWSM, Juniper, Palo Alto) Configuration, Troubleshooting and Support of large enterprise network environments
* Operating systems - knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems
* Load Balancers - Cisco CSS, F5
* Proxy Services - Able to diagnose web based applications and problems (Cisco Content Engines, Microsoft proxy servers)
* IT Security experience - working knowledge of IDS and IPS.(Cisco, Snort, Sourcefire, McAfee IntruShield)
* Experience in network design and troubleshooting; Internet infrastructure, Local Area Network, Wide Area Networks, and WWW Hosting/E-Commerce type environments
* Enterprise level network Internet, WAN, LAN support & engineering experience.
* Superior knowledge, skills & experience with Cisco routing hardware, software, protocols, etc.
* Working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.
* In-depth experience and talent in using packet / protocol analyzers, tcp dump to find and remedy application and network performance issues
* Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead / SME (when required), and as a participant in a team environment.
* Positive, proactive, can do attitude.
* Willingness to participate in shared, rotating on-call duties - REQUIRED
* 5+ Years Internet / WAN / MAN / LAN Network Engineering is REQUIRED
* Professional Experience at an Enterprise Level in Network solutions
* Firewall, DNS, Router, Switch and IP Configuration Experience
Specific Requirements:
* (Preferred) College degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree).
* (Preferred ) Possesses several of the following technical certifications (or equivalent enterprise experience)
