Job Description:
This position will be focused on the following areas of Voice Operations work responsibilities:
* Plan and configure new technology deployments.
The expectation is that this position will continue to learn and keep up with current and future technologies in the Voice technology arena and will provide direction for the Voice Operation group in deploying these technologies.
* Provide 3rd level day-to-day support for deployed Voice systems (legacy & cutting edge VoIP integrated systems). Monitor and work request in the Voice ticketing queue.
* Provide troubleshooting assistance to other voice personnel and remote site techs, when requested.
* Run, Manage and /or assist in the deployment of new Voice systems deployments, at any number of Koch remote site facilities. (Assist in the write-up and planning of deployments to internal customers for budgetary/costs analysis decisions).
* Track T&M consulting hours worked for internal customers in cross billing processing.
Work Experience Required:
* 10+ years experience with General Data Networking
* 8 + years experience in Telecommunications
* 8+ years experience with IP Telephony (VoIP) sys.
* 5+ years experience with Content delivery (A/V) sys.
* Experience designing/installing/supporting Data, VoIP, A/V, Conferencing systems
* Experience with deployment and support of integrated voice, video, and data system environments
* IPCC (Cisco-IP Contact Center)
* Cisco Call Manager, Voice Gateways
* Traditional PBX Systems- Avaya/Nortel Option 81, Definity, Octel/Avaya Voicemail, Call Accounting System, Call Center Design and Support
* Understanding of the OSI model
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Vendor Management
* Ability to learn quickly
* Ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks to ensure service level agreements are met
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Good customer service skills
* Ability to take ownership, seeing tasks and projects through to satisfaction and completion
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Work Experience Preferred:
ITSM or other Day-to-Day Operational support experience
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Education Preferred:
CCNA, CCNP, CCVP Certification
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to travel up to 50%
* Must be able to fit in small confined spaces
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
