External Job Title: Sr. Professional Consultant, B2B City: New York State/Province/Region: New York Country: U.S. Job Description: The Professional Services department within Informatica is responsible for ensuring customers are successful in deploying our data integration and analytic platforms. Our consultants work with our customers and business partners both on short-term assignments to provide spot, Informatica expertise, as well as longer-term efforts to ensure a decision support project is delivered in accordance with the customer's expectations. Working either independently or with a team of Informatica and/or Business Partner consultants, senior consultants take a primary point of contact role with clients. Our senior consultants must bring a combination of technical depth, written/verbal communication, and client management skills. Senior Consultants utilize our decision support methodology, Velocity, on all engagements, with a particular emphasis on the Architecture, Design, and Deploy phases. Ensuring that clients leverage Informatica Best Practices in architecture design and performance tuning are common challenges our senior consultants address with clients. Though in-town assignments are given the highest priority, Informatica Professional Services Senior Consultants must be willing to travel. Efforts are made to ensure this travel is limited to your home region and occurs during the work week. Knowledge management and sharing is a high priority, so each Senior Consultant has time each month to document client projects and record best practices. The position is available in the IPS B2B specialist team. It is suited for a highly motivated individual with hands on PowerCenter real time consulting experience, project management/project lead experience who can demonstrate the ability to work autonomously. 3 years or more of PowerCenter experience with hands on real time project experience is mandatory. Preference for Java J2EE, XML and B2B DT experienced consultants. Industry standards knowledge and experience (e.g. EDI, HIPAA, HL7, SWIFT) is an advantage. The individual must demonstrate leadership skills, coordinating efforts with multiple people and groups in Informatica and at customer accounts, dealing with newly developed technologies, while maintaining high level of execution. Key Responsibilities Implement DX (Data Exchange) and DT (Data Transformation) projects . Take lead on all architecture, development and deployment in different DX and DT implementations . Lead project scoping and planning . Own all aspects of the delivery of B2B project . Build and maintain relationships with key stake holders Thought Leadership . Recommend and put together a detailed plan of solution and infrastructure design and deployment to large organizations with wide scale B2B challenges . Leading discussions with customers to collect industry requirements on implementations and product improvements. Required Skills: Technical skills . Real time PowerCenter experience - EAI, ESB, web services, queues . Java/J2EE, B2B DT, XML experience . Industry data standards such as: EDI, HL7, SEPA, SWIFT, ACORD an advantage . Customer communications skills, written, oral and face-to-face . Account/relationship management experience . Awareness of the competitive landscape within the data integration Marketplace/EAI/B2B . Ability to turn business issues into technical solutions . Ability to develop collaborative relationships both internal and external .
