We are presently seeking aSr. Programmer/Analyst-Specialized Systemsfor our Cedar Rapids, IA location.
Sr. Programmer/Analyst-Specialized Systems supports activities relating to the Engineering & Factory Solutions team. This position will have the opportunity to collaborate and build trusted partnerships with the stakeholders to implement, troubleshoot and support various e-Business services / solutions in the area of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM). Also this role provides opportunities to Design and Develop value-driven enterprise solutions consistent with cost and schedule limitations to support operational excellence initiatives that improve productivity and revenue.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Serves as project or technical lead for moderately complex projects with varying degrees of flexibility for approach. * Provides technical direction/guidance to other team members. * Analyzes, demonstrates the ability to provide a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or situation and applies technical knowledge to determine root cause and provide solution / options. * Designs & Develops simple to moderately complex applications or significant portions of complex applications. * Provides limited exploratory/discovery consulting services to internal customers. * Delivers Quality solutions under moderate to indirect supervision. * Estimates project resource requirements for multi-developer projects. * Creates reusable documentation, coaches and trains other team member s as needed. * Develops / modifies programs based on functional specification(s), investigates and understands new technologies, provides potential solutions, conducts unit-tests, code reviews and performance monitoring. * Customer Service Orientation - Provides customers with quality experiences, while establishing and maintaining effective relationships. * Dependability - Ensures that all requirements and deliverables of a project are understood and completed within the Cost & Schedule limitations. * Detail Orientation - Rarely makes errors but accepts responsibility for those that are made and develops a plan to prevent similar errors from recurring. * Follow-up - Seeks feedback and Demonstrates follow through with internal or external stakeholders. * Self Development - Stays abreast of new developments in the field by participating in developmental activities, reading, and conducting research. Minimum Requirements: Must possess experience in IT / Applications Development relating to Product Data Management (PDM / PLM). Exposure to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and hands-on experience involving eMatrix, Engineering Central, Document Central, tcl/tk programming, java, jsp, JPO, Enovia, Team Center, Weblogic, Oracle, pdf conversion and/or water marking and metaphase is desired. Good analytical and problem solving skills are necessary. Presentation skills with the ability to provide a logical, in-depth analysis are an added advantage. Aerospace/Defense process experience is preferred. Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and four years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, ten years of related experience.
