Purpose: The Programmer will be responsible for machine programs and associated paperwork along with overseeing a thorough and proper execution of the task to its completion. The Programmer will also be supporting Engineering, Document Control, Quality, and Sales for current and/or new work. Principle Accountabilities / Duties Technical and Engineering assistance - Complete a C-RAMS for manufacturing flow and machine capabilities. - Roadmap process and "Print to Part" timelines as required.
Identify and process purchasing requirements as needed for production. - Coordinating with Purchasing Department for tooling, etc.
Generate controlled documentation - Internal drawings, machine set up books (electronic and hard copy), special tooling, QC charts or establishing QC parameters, etc.
Machine Operation - Set Up and Prove Out of machine programs as needed. - Periodic machine operations of standard production as needed.
General Manufacturing support. - Flexible support and availability for overtime or other related MFG process as needed. Requirements
Required (Must Have) Qualifications 10 years experience of programming, setting up and running Horizontal milling centers. Good program/process diagnostics skills with a working knowledge of machine controls and mechanical aspects. Office related computer skills using Windows Office software to include (but not limited to) Outlook, Word, and Excel. Solid communication skills of verbal, written and electronic means. Strong understanding of part fixture concepts/development and cutting tool applications. Understands ANSI/ASME guided drawings and working knowledge of associated Quality Matrix. MasterCam experience (V9 and above). Desired (Nice to Have) Qualifications 3D programming with Solids, Mazak controls, FMS and Tool Matrix programming, knowledge of HSM programming and applications, large format programming (630mm to 1250mm plus HMC machines), VMC skills, and some experience with ISO, JIT, Kaizen specifications helpful.
