Job Description Sr. Product Configuration Management Managers guide strategic projects or programs supporting the Quality First Initiatives and Product Configuration Management for Perfect Harmony Drives. Guides project/program management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management activities) for projects or programs. Develops continuous improvement plan. Will develop client relationship and sales opportunities. Will work with and coordinate activities across Field Service, Engineering, Manufacturing and other third party service providers in support of customer issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities Applies skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems. Will be responsible for overall success of the function or project.
Sr. Product Configuration Management (PCM) Managers will support projects dealing with Customer Accounts for customer support site services including maintenance, repair, and upgrades on variable frequency drive equipment due to product changes or improvements.
PCM Managers will coordinate internal processes including product design reviews, performance of equipment, system repairs, and site implementation.
PCM Managers will be responsible for coordinating services at various customer sites in response to orders received through either the Quality First Initiatives and the PCM review process. These responsibilities will include activities coordinating customer contacts, site parts requirements, and site contractual issues.
Education BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. PMP Certification is preferred.
Knowledge Experienced with Field Service projects. Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field activities used in the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
Experience Typically 5 to 10 years of experience in Project Management with some experience in projects with service support.
Key Working Relationships Provides feedback to top management and business units on field project status.
SOC Specific Data Develops, forecasts, monitors, and manages all financial aspects of the projects
