Job Title: Sr. QA Analyst

Description:
This position is in the IT-ROPS (Billing and Collections Applications) team. The primary responsibility of the QA Analyst is to participate in Requirements/Design/Code reviews, develop test plans, test cases, automate tests, execute tests, track defects, identify risks, and communicate status to ensure that IT-ROPS meets specified business requirements. The QA Analyst is also expected to identify opportunities to improve the development and QA processes. The QA Analyst supports several products and projects and often works with personnel in other departments to complete assignments and is expected to become the functional expert on these products.
Healthcare industry and EDI experience viz. 835, 837, 277 etc is strongly preferred
Job Functions:
1. Review requirements and design documents to ensure adequate understanding to develop test cases.
2. Develop product based testing strategies
3. Determine test environment and test data requirements
4. Develop test plans and cases based on various levels of requirements details
5. Estimate effort required to perform QA activities
6. Document and elevate risks when appropriate
7. Develop automated test cases based on value and return on investment
8. Execute tests, track defects, and perform root cause analysis
9. Mine for data, backend validation, and perform data quality analysis via SQL
10. Provide recommendations to streamline and improve processes
11. Mentor co-workers of the proper application of automated tests within a structured QA approach (QA Automation)
12. Educate others outside of QA on the value of a structured QA approach
13. Document status and final reports for QA activities
14. Coordinate and communicate with IT resources across the US to complete assigned projects
QA Analyst - Qualifications/Skills Required:
1. Bachelor?s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
2. 5+ years of experience in structured QA practices
3. Strong analytical skills
4. Proficiency in requirements analysis and reviews
5. Expert knowledge and skills in developing test plans and test cases
6. Excellent documentation skills
7. Well versed with various types of testing in various environments.
8. Ability to interact with developers and understand technical design.
9. Good understanding of database design and experience writing SQL queries.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
11. Experience and skills in mentoring co-workers
12. Experience in educating others on the value of structured QA practices
13. Ability to manage multiple priorities
14. Experience working with billing and A/R systems is preferred
15. Ability to produce high quality work with limited supervision
16. Strong experience using HP Quality Center
