Sr. QA Engineer with SAP experience
Our client is seeking a motivated SAP/ERP Test Engineer with testing talent to join us. The Senior Engineer is responsible for performing software quality assurance and quality management activities on large- -scale and/or technically complex projects which include designing, conducting, and reporting quality assessments for new or modified information technology systems that are being developed. This role typically involves partnering closely with functional teams, software engineers and business owners to fully understand system functionalities and data.
1. Familiarity with software quality assurance and release management within the realm of SAP.
2. Excellent oral and written communications skills
3. Experience leading test strategy for large scale projects.
4. Develop comprehensive quality test strategies and plans for all assigned development projects including the construction of data sets, testing environments, test cases, and scripts/procedures. Analyze results of completed tests and provide all findings to the development team for resolutions. Monitor the resolutions of all defects noted.
5. Provide technical leadership to a team of other quality management QM associates by providing mentoring and in- -depth knowledge of quality management. Mentor and coach in the use of quality management processes and tools.
6. Coordinate the workflow within the function by assigning resources to projects, monitoring progress, and adjusting workload balances as needed.
7. Perform research, risk assessment, and impact analysis evaluations from a quality perspective.
8. Participate actively with the business analysts and software engineers throughout project life cycles to understand business applications. Build quality processes into the design of applications.
9. Execute test plans according to the defined plans. Responsible for managing the execution of test plans including assigning testing tasks and reporting statuses to the project management.
10. Provide sign- -off for acceptance for projects that have satisfactorily completed quality test plans.
11. May assist other team members in carrying out tests of other systems as needed including documentation and analysis of results.
12. Define opportunities to re- -engineer standardized processes in the software quality assurance function.
