Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst (Corp)

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is part of the team the delivers software solutions to the largest business service franchise network in the world. This position is responsible to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures, apply proven methods to develop and design appropriate test strategies and take a lead role in the development and implementation of test automation on large projects. This individual will work closely with Business Analysts in support of documenting system requirements. This includes creating test plans, test procedures, test automation scripts and requirements traceability documentation to ensure that systems are built to specification.

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for mentoring the QA team, improving processes and procedures exercised during QA efforts, maintaining good working relationships with non-technical clients, and providing guidance, leadership and visibility on QA team projects and initiatives.

Job Duties / Responsibilities & Skills

      General Quality Assurance

• Ability to assure the quality of major subsystems within a large-scale software project 
• Design and development of test applications and/or test scripts
• Participate in all phases of quality assurance in a number of software projects
• Schedule estimation
• Ability to complete the task on time

      Automation

• Expert in the development of test applications and/or test scripts with little supervision
• Ability to estimate the complexity/breadth of tasks appropriately
• Adherence to good software practices, including robustness, code clarity, maintainability, documentation and performance

• Test Automation:  Expert in the use of automation tools; Development of test automation scripting, load testing in a hosted or client/server environment.  Produce efficient designs and communicate them well; Proficient in load and stress scenario modeling; Maintain a forward-looking mentality in what regards to the use of load tools to exercise our technologies and products.
• Engineering Process:  Communication methods; Engineering best practices with a focus on SW development; 24x7 system experience; Proven success in managing engineering deliverables; Testing processes, tools and techniques; Internet applications and architecture; Internet connectivity and routing methodologies; Web farm and application security, CMM/ISO. 
• Application Development/Connectivity: Familiar with C, C++, C#, Object oriented techniques, Windows operating systems, ATL & STL, COM & COM+, TCP/IP, SMTP, Sockets, SSL, MSMQ, FTP, MS Transaction Server, Multi-tier architectures and Internet connectivity and routing methodologies. 
• Web Development: HTML, HTTP, XML, ASP, JavaScript and JScript, other scripting languages.  
• Database Development:  ODBC, Relational Database, SQL 2005-2008 preferred, clustering, large multi database applications, Stored Procedures, Database architecture. 
• Infrastructure Development/Environments: Active Directory, Load Balancing, DNS, ISA or other proxy servers, Router configuration and behavior, and browser technologies. 

Education & Experience

• 7 to 9+ years of technical experience
• Proven experience at interacting well with all levels of management and business organizations
• Proven mentoring and leadership skills as well as the ability to motivate a group or team of people
• Expertise in the technologies used in our product will be required for this position
• Expertise in shipping business rules, methods and technologies a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
