POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will work with a dynamic group of people in the radio development team. Members within this group will work on radio frequency (RF) device drivers as well as embedded radio and data application protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will work focusing on the design and development of software components for the control of a handheld's RF transceiver.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Extensive C programming experience required
* Experience controlling RF transceivers
* Hands on experience with test tools and equipment e.g. Anite, Rhodes Schwartz, Racal, Agilent
* Familiar with use of debugging tools such as JTAG real-time tracing and logic analyzers
* Experience with 3GPP and 3GPP2 (IS-95,IS-2000,TIA-856) suite of protocols
* Experience with GCF and SFN testing for mobile devices will be a valuable asset
* 5 years of full-time, non-co-op work experience
* Expertise and knowledge of integration with hardware
* Debugging and supporting hardware verification
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
* Familiar with the QualComm MSM chipsets
* Assembly language programming experience (ARM, Intel or other)
* RTOS device driver development expertise in embedded software environment cross compiler and related tools knowledge
* Good verbal and writing communication
* Capability of taking on responsibility for a substantial portion of a project
* Independent work ethic to bring tasks to completion
