The Office Communications Group which is one of the fastest growing businesses in Microsoft is bringing together different modes of communication and collaboration within the enterprise. Our recent R2 release of the Office Communications suite of products seamlessly integrates instant-messaging, voice, video, telephony and conferencing with Office applications on the desktop. We are currently working on the next wave of products and we need talented SDE's with solid engineering skills to help us deliver on the next generation communications and collaboration platform.
The media and devices team is responsible for the audio/video and device technologies used in the Office Communication products and are a key part of delivering end to end audio/video experiences in peer to peer audio/video calls and multi-party conferences. It is also responsible for building the platform for innovative audio/video devices. We are looking for a passionate senior level developer in the area of audio in the media and devices team. The audio team is responsible for implementing and providing solutions for clear and robust audio communication in a number of products such as Office Communicator, Conference servers, and embedded devices, as well as being partners to other teams across Microsoft such as Windows, Windows Live and Xbox. We implement and develop technologies in the areas of echo cancellation, noise suppression, automatic gain control, compression, packet loss concealment, as well as various other digital signal processing and diagnostic features. Audio and Voice continue to be a main pillar of Office Communications and is vital to the success of the business. You will be working with a set of very smart people, including world-class experts in audio processing, to deliver cutting edge solutions in the audio conferencing space.
Successful candidates will have deep experience in audio processing as well as strong design, execution, and debugging skills.
