The software engineering is responsible for researching, designing, and developing the applications and solutions for big data in cloud environment. The team in China is part of a bigger global team with engineers and architects in US and India.
Responsibility: ü Research and develop solutions that are high-performing and extensible ü Use agile development processes to develop software to a successful outcome
Desired Experiences and Skills: ü Strong understanding in an area of database internal implementation, such as query processing, database index structures, or query optimization, etc. ü 3 years database related research or development experiences. ü Proficient in ANSI SQL. Familiar with one of major commercial database, such as Teradata, Oracle, DB2. ü Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages, C/C , Java ü Big data related knowledge/experience (such as Hadoop/MapReduce, MPP database, cloud platforms, etc) a plus ü Experience on XML, XPath and XQuery a plus ü Data mining experience a plus ü Web application development experience a plus ü Excellent problem solving skills ü Good team player ü Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
