Sr. Digital Engineer
Kelly Technical Resources is seeking a Digital Engineer for a position in Boulder, CO. The position involves working in a R&D environment with Electrical Engineers in a Product Development team creating a Power Supply unit for Electromechanical instruments. The Digital Engineer will be tasked with designing a portion of a motherboard that interfaces to various common PC peripheral functions such as PCIe, SATA, USB, Ethernet and others. Job functions: - COM Express based ""carrier board"" design including Gigabit Ethernet, USB, SATA, DVI Graphics, and PCI Express communication fabric to multiple end-points - PCI Express channel design including clocking fan-out from root complex to multiple links in system (Currently x1 lanes each but may expand) - Detailed PCB layout guidance/constraints for high-fidelity channel routing in noisy RF environment - DDR3 1066 discrete memory interface design - Timing and Signal Integrity simulation/analysis on PCIe SERDES as well as DDR3 - Hardware verification of high speed busses (DDR3, PCIe, GigE, USB) in lab with measurement equipment to verify timing, jitter compliance, interoperability, etc. Job Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering and MSEE preferred
experience in high speed digital design required
experience using oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers is highly preferred
SERDES verification is preferred
R&D or medical device experience is preferred
