We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in our Raleigh, NC office. This position is responsible for development and maintenance of OUR Analytics product used by hospitals. Looking for a Senior level report writer. Position will work with the Cognos framework developer to build out dashboards and drill-through reports in a web-based, Saas deployment of Cognos.
Responsibilities Include: . Performs Coding and unit testing of software projects with high quality deliverables . Participates actively in Analysis/Design & code reviews . Accepts ownership for level 3 client calls and troubleshoot the problems until resolved . Works directly with clients as needed to address support problems . Debugs and maintains existing code . Applies and acquires business and product knowledge in the performance of assigned projects . Acts as mentor for other team members . May represent the team in external or interdepartmental efforts as needed . Conducts independent research and makes recommendations on technical direction . Participates in user documentation process . Responsible for completing other work requirements or tasks that are requested by management when necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the department or company.
Job Requirements: Education & Experience Requirements: * BS Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other relevant combination of training and experience * 5+ years experience in any / all of the following skills: SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, Cognos * 3+ years experience with SQL Server is a must * 3-5 years Cognos experience is a must * Experience in data warehousing is a plus * Knowledge of BI tool(s) is a plus * Familiarity with Healthcare is a plus * Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision * Solid logic and organizational skills * Good verbal and written communication skills * Experience in Microsoft technology (.Net, SSRS, SSAS etc) is a plus
