BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: Our Minnetonka engineering team is working on cutting-edge web technology for delivering medical images and the scalability issues in enterprise medical imaging. Our technology uses the latest versions of Java and Spring coupled with modern C++ to produce world class imaging solutions for the healthcare industry. This is not boring banking or insurance software! Our technology pushes zero-footprint, browser-based applications to their limits.
The senior software engineer is responsible for the creation of software designs for complex sub-systems within the product portfolio using design patterns. In addition, the senior software engineer is responsible for implementing complete sub-systems utilizing software development best practices. The senior software engineer will also provide guidance to junior developers via code and design reviews and should be able to work independently.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree
SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • 7+ years of experience in commercial software development with a proven track record of delivering software projects on time with the appropriate level of quality • 5+ years of experience with Java (must have experience with Java 1.6/1.7) server software implementing REST based web architecture. • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript • 5+ years of experience implementing software solutions using Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows & Linux Development • 5+ Experience with Multi-Threaded Programming • Excellent written and verbal communicational skills • Fluency in English
DESIRED SKILLS: • Experience using Spring 3.X, Tomcat 6.0/7.0, Hibernate and other current Java technologies • Experience using relation databases (SQL Server 2005/2008) • Experience with Python • Experience with Healthcare informatics domain knowledge including: DICOM, HL7, HIS, RIS, PACS, EMR • Familiarity with C# and/or C++
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. No unusual physical requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS: Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours can vary and expand as dictated by project demands.
