Our products have helped millions of wireless users on the world's largest carrier networks make real-time decisions about where they are and where they want to go. We now provide hyper-local search and turn-by-turn navigation services to carriers and their customers in 38 countries and in 10 languages.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the creation of sample applications that demonstrate the features of NavBuilder Developer Program - a suite of LBS libraries that includes location, mapping and local search. As developer support engineer, the role includes building and maintaining the Developer Forum, answering technical questions, and providing technical insight on how to use our API libraries effectively. Your support of developers will be vital to the success and growth of the NavBuilder Developer Program.
Qualifications: . Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline. . 5 + years strong experience in Software Development. C, C++, C# and Java. . Strong experience programming GUI applications for Mobile Devices on BREW, J2ME, RIM, Windows Mobile and/or Android. . Solid understanding of Object Oriented programming in all the above languages. . Excellent communication with a demonstrated ability to write programming documentation. . Experience generating documentation with Doxygen preferred. . Experience with Perforce helpful. . Self-managed proactive work style. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Able to work independently and in a team environment. . Ability to provide outstanding customer and developer support. . Experience moderating forums and providing developer technical support preferred.
