Major Job Duties Include: The Software Engineer (Lead System Engineer) will perform software requirement allocation and management inside the Software Organization. Ensure all requirements are broken down into meaningful sections/function areas in Algorithm Software (ASW) and Platform Software (PSW), documented in the Requirement List and the responsibility of analysis is assigned to respective function areas. Responsible for system-level design documents like the System State Matrix, ASW/PSW Interface. Creation, closure, and acceptance of Software Changes Request based on requirements and associated Change Control Boards. Define and maintain functional content of major and internal baselines, balancing the needs of Applications, Design Verification Testing, Winter Test, Electronic Control Unit durability testing, Hydraulic Unit development. Single point contact for System Failure Mode and Effect Analysis support from SW, SFMEA actions related to SW, and Coordinate involvement of Components Responsible as required together w/ SFMEA Moderator. Responsible for definition of requirement/content based test planning. Development of project specific changes in the assigned component including: design; implementation; review; documentation (function and SW designs, specifications, test cases, test reports, etc.); component level verification. SW component integration. Maintenance of the test cases for integration test related to assigned components. Support project management with work effort estimation.
Minimum Requirements Include: *Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. *3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Analyst, Intern or a related occupation. *This position requires experience in: (i) 3 years of experience with development of embedded control software; (ii) 3 years of experience with C language, Matlab, and Simulink; (iii) 3 years of experience with application of vehicle dynamics and feedback control theory to chassis control; (iv) 1 year of experience in vehicle testing at high speeds and with high dynamic maneuvers; (v) 1 year of experience in project management; and (vi) 1 year of experience in developing SFMEA for vehicle safety critical control products.
